When history comes alive, so love can prove its point…
Katie Campbell doesn’t need a vacation, but she takes one anyway. What could possibly go wrong? It’s not like she doesn’t have her bestie coming with her. They both have a shared Scottish heritage according to the Find Your Ancestors website—and those pics of braw Highlanders lifting the back of their kilts seems like an open invitation to flirt with the locals.
John Fraser is a local lad, Inverness born and bred, and proud of it. What better way to pass the time—when he’s not guiding tourists around ancient Scottish monuments—than to buy the gorgeous American redhead, Katie, a whiskey before stealing a kiss from her.
But that’s the problem with touring stone circles with a long history of strange vanishings and mysterious disappearances—you might just end up being one of them. Fate can be fickle when soul mates are involved, and if John and Katie refuse to see the advantage of their eternal bond, then they will be taken somewhere it is undeniable.
How does Culloden, 1746 sound?
A sweeping story of magical destiny and enemies fated to become lovers, The Highlander’s Beautiful Fate is the first standalone book in the Time Slips and Stone Circles Series

I really enjoyed The Highlander’s Beautiful Fate. Katie travels to Scotland expecting a vacation and a little adventure, but meeting John Fraser turns into something far bigger than either of them could have imagined. Their attraction is immediate, but the fact that she is a Campbell and he is a fiercely proud Fraser gets their relationship off to a wonderfully disastrous start.
What I especially liked was that the time travel isn’t just a way to put a modern woman beside a handsome Highlander. Katie and John both end up confronting the past, their own mistakes, and what they truly want from each other. The Scottish history, clan rivalries, standing stones, magic, humor, danger, and romance all work together, and John and Katie have great chemistry. Their journey eventually becomes much more than a holiday romance—it becomes a story about two people whose lives seem determined to find each other across time.
A very enjoyable read for anyone who loves Highlanders, Scottish history, time travel, and a romance with plenty of adventure and personality.
