A wall divides Berlin. A paper airplane carries a message across it.
East Berlin, 1973. Angelika has spent more than a decade wondering what became of Peter, the childhood friend she once imagined growing old beside. The Berlin Wall separated them, turning the boy she loved into little more than a memory.
Then a paper airplane floats across the Wall.
Written on it is a message only Peter could have sent.
Soon, the childhood game they once shared becomes a secret lifeline between East and West. With every folded note, Angelika and Peter rediscover the friendship—and feelings—they thought had been lost forever. But in a city watched by border guards and the Stasi, even a scrap of paper can become dangerous. Peter discovers betrayal frighteningly close to home, while Angelika faces dangers of her own inside the Eastern Bloc.
As plans for escape begin to take shape, love, loyalty and freedom collide at the most dangerous border in Europe—and one gunshot may change everything.
Paper Wings Over Berlin is Book 1 of the Tales of Berlin trilogy, a gripping Cold War romantic suspense series about forbidden communication, divided families, courage and a love that refuses to remain behind a wall.

This advance reader copy kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Angelika and Peter find love before the construction of the wall between East and West Berlin. The times in Germany separated family and friend alike and this is an amazing examination of the tribulations these people endured. I look forward to reading more about these people!
I enjoyed it
I liked it a lot. I was given an arc and I choose to give an honest review.
